For SUNEO Platinum, the quartz sheath is removed in the same way as the UV lamp for wintering. At the start of the season, it is cleaned and descaled before being reassembled to allow UV rays to pass through. If the water used is very calcareous, the descaling operation must be repeated during the season.
1 – Cut the water from the installation
2 – Switch off the bactericide
3 – Check that the base of the lamp (jar) is not illuminated
4 – Disconnect the waterproof connector of the lamp from the electrical box
5 – Unscrew the needle screw then the delrin ring
6 – Extract the lamp from the UV reactor chamber with its flat sealing gasket
7 - Unscrew the cable gland
8 - Extract the quartz sheath from the bactericide, taking care to keep it in line with the device at all times
9 - Clean or replace the quartz sheath
10 - Adjust the O-ring on the latter (5mm from the edge)
11 - Carefully reposition the quartz sheath (or the new one)
12 - Reposition the flat quartz seal on the cable gland (see image 1 and 2)
12 - Screw the cable gland and check for leaks
13 – Reposition the new lamp and reassemble the flat gasket under the lamp jar
14 – Screw the delrin ring back on then the needle screw
15 – Reconnect the waterproof connector of the lamp to that of the electrical box
16 – Switch the device back on
