What is a Canadian hydraulic well ?
In France, the ground temperature generally remains around 12° all year round, at a depth of a few meters.
The Canadian hydraulic well will use this stable temperature to:
- In winter, preheat the air entering your home
- In summer, cool the air entering it.
If we had to oversimplify, it's like using the air in your cellar to cool your home in the summer. And conversely, in winter you ventilate with air around 12° and not close to 0.
What impact on my VMC?
In winter
You bring in air around 12°, which prevents your VMC exchanger from icing and the anti-freeze electric resistance does not need to operate. You therefore have a double energy saving.
The performance of your exchanger is therefore preserved.
In summer
Thanks to the Canadian well, coupled with an enthalpy heat exchanger, your interior temperature is lowered by a few degrees, without having to resort to energy-intensive air conditioning. Your installation also allows you to benefit from optimal comfort thanks to the lower humidity level.
