Also called Venetian blind, the brise-soleil directs its 90 mm slats to block the radiation of the sun in summer while maintaining adequate light.

With a recessed BSO, you avoid summer overheating while keeping natural and soft light in your interior. The external venetian blind is the perfect exterior solar protection that combines design and aesthetics.

  • The slats are made of profiled aluminum with a thickness of 0.42 mm and a width of 92.5 mm. Ability to almost completely close the blinds unlike blinds with traditionally shaped slats. The slats are fitted with a sound deadening gasket to reduce noise when fully closed.
  • Blades covered with a lacquered coating guaranteeing resistance to bad weather.
  • Slats maintained by the Hagofix ® System - polyester fibers double reinforced with aramid (used in particular in the manufacture of bulletproof vests) used for the textile tapes which support the slats. These materials are highly resistant to stretching and scratching, stabilized by a thermal process and are resistant to UV rays and other atmospheric conditions. Textile is more resistant than cable systems that corrode over time!

BSO blades angle the way you want, at any height

The installation of shading blinds is a response to the 2012 and 2020 Thermal Regulations and especially to the need for free solar gain in winter while protecting against the vertical rays of the sun in summer.

Sun protection is strongly recommended if you do not have "sun caps" above your joinery.

Depending on the orientation of the slats, the brise-soleil can let in up to 90% of the exterior light .

In the closed position, a blind is not a blackout system for having complete darkness in the room. The proposed BSO cannot be considered as a secure closing system for insurance because it is possible to lift the slats by hand.

This defect is a quality because it worksawning remains simple and durable, with no risk of jamming.

Here is the height of the package and the closing sheet that will be delivered, depending on the total height that you will have indicated in the "height" field:

The height you indicate will be the manufacturing height, therefore the total height of the blind.

Choice of BSO engines

You can choose the GEIGER wired motor (known German brand) which comes with the Uno Smoove switch from Somfy. With the wired motor, the limit switches are already set (possibility to readjust them).

You can also choose the SOMFY RTS or IO radio engine, which will be delivered with a Telis 1 MODULIS remote control. The central wheel of the remote control is a real convenience for varying the orientation of the blades with the tip of your thumb.

We recommend the radio motor for large dimensions in order to couple your BSO with a wind sensor and thus automatically raise the awning in your absence. The product is robust, but for widths of 3 to 4 meters it is better to be careful.

The color palette meets all your desires

Here is the range of colors available, to which is now added RAL 9005 (a new fashionable black which is increasingly replacing the anthracite gray RAL 7016). For a specific RAL, please consult us, but the added value is important, therefore to be avoided.

Mounting to the window frame via the connecting bracket should be used if you cannot drill into the wall. We are always available if you would like information on the installation of these Venetian blinds.

Simply secure the plank package with the mounting brackets for quick assembly:

Fix the sheet with rivets to this bracket before coming to fix the bracket and the elastic support in the lintel directly. Then you come to fix the rail containing the motor in the elastic support.

How to install the brise-soleil in a thermal insulation from the outside

For this type of installation, you must choose the brise soleil without closing plate , because normally your BSO will be hidden in the thickness of the insulation if it is at least 160 mm. Be careful, this will inevitably generate a thermal bridge. Otherwise, you can put 20 mm of insulation between the bracket and the wall, and take a BSO with a closing sheet .

For installation on the facade in thermal insulation from the outside, the bracket that holds the pack of slats will be fixed to the facade above your window frame.

  • The total height of your external venetian blind when ordered will be equal to the height of your finished frame/painting/window hole to which add the "Height of the box" (see the image above). Because the total height of the BSO to order is indeed equal to the visible part + the hidden part in the ITE. In this configuration, you will need at least an insulation thickness of 160 mm. (140 mm square + at least 20 mm of insulation in front on which you will put the coating).
  • With the "Wall mounting guide": The width of your external venetian blind will be equal to the width of your finished painting minus 5 mm. The "Wall mounting guide" must be used but be careful to choose the appropriate plug that will receive the screw. You will have to put your BSO after having redone your coating.

How to install a motorized adjustable sunscreen for a 6m wide sliding window?

For this type of installation, you must choose the brise soleil without closing plate because normally your BSO will be embedded in a box with a square bottom.

Generally such a sliding door is made of aluminum and will be composed of 3 or 4 equal leaves. The goal is to avoid having a central slide. Let's see how to organize the BSOs on such a sliding door:

  • For a sliding door (3 rails) 6 m wide with 3 leaves, you will have 3 bays of 2 m. You can then do:
    • in 2 BSO by juxtaposing one of 4 m and one of 2 m
    • in 3 BSOs by juxtaposing three 2 m BSOs
  • For a sliding door (2 rails) 6m wide in 4 leaves of 1.5m, you will open in the middle. Thus, we therefore advise you to put a BSO on each side of 1.5 m and a large central of 3 m. This will make three sunscreens for your sliding bay.

With a Somfy radio motor, you will have a remote control per sun shade. We advise you to also take a 4-channel to control the three or four blinds simultaneously. The junction between the BSOs will be made using the double guide, held on a steel tube or a plate, fixed to the ground and in the box. This tube or dish can be provided by Lacentrale-eco.

Count a hundred euros per piece per tube, painting and treatment included. And so you have a quality installation as we achieve when we sell our BSO with installation in Rhône-Alpes.

Ci-joint quelques photos de la ré-hausse du coffre de mon volet roulant: j'ai remonté sa face inférieur avec un tasseau de 60 (photos avant-après)
Le vide de maçonnerie dépassait un peu de part et d'autre de la fenêtre: j'en ai profité pour y glisser le rail du BSO afin de décaler la manivelle pour qu'elle ne gêne pas l'ouverture de la fenêtre. Ensuite, il suffit de percer le tasseau et la plaque de fermeture du caisson dans l'axe...
A noter que le mécanisme d'ouverture manuel dépasse un peu du rail du BSO: la hauteur de 60 est un minimum pour pourvoir le glisser; j'ai eu de la chance !.

Mon store est bien installé et bien horizontal. j'ai plutôt joué sur la longueur des fils d'orientation des lames pour redresser. Il rentre parfaitement entre ma fenêtre et mon volet roulant; j'espère que cela m'épargnera de recevoir une lettre de mon syndic...

Le montage s'est globalement bien passé et le plus compliqué était finalement de remonter un peu le bas du caisson de mon volet roulant pour limiter l'emprise sur la fenêtre: je suis très content du résultat. A noter que j'ai dû quand même re-régler la butée haute qui donnait une hauteur de paquet un peu trop importante
Un petit reproche concernant la longueur de la tige de manoeuvre manuelle qui est un peu courte pour une fenêtre. Ca va pour moi, je suis grand.

----> Merci pour ces photos et votre retour. C'est la première fois qu'un client intègre son store derrière un volet roulant ! Donc bravo pour cette intégration réussie dans votre coffre. Sachez que les butées sont toujours à régler. Pour le réglage des cordons c'est parfait si vous avez pu les ajuster. Pour la tige, elle fait toujours les 2/3 de la hauteur totale du BSO, donc effectivement ça peut être un peu court avec une allège à 1000mm comme vous.

je possède des coffres terreal à fond arrondi déjà en place dans ma maçonnerie;
comment adapté la fixation à l'intérieur pou vos bso et ou je prends mes cotes et enfin comment fermer la sous face après pose bso ?

----> Bonjour, pour fixer un BSO il vous faut obligatoirement un fond (linteau) plat. Donc à vous de voir en fonction de la surface interne et des dimensions de votre caisson, ce que vous pouvez adapter. Les dimensions seront ensuite du fond plat (linteau) à l'appui de la fenêtre, donc la hauteur totale du brise soleil orientable. Et pour la sous face, c'est simple il n'y en a pas besoin car c'est un BSO qui est posé au centre de votre coffre. J'espère vous avoir aidé.

Proposer vous la possibilité de coupler plusieurs BSO pour couvrir une largeur de 7000mm (2x1750mm + 1 x 3500mm)?

----> Oui nous pouvons vous proposer cela. Ajouter les 3 BSO dans le panier puis validez votre commande en nous précisant lequel sera à droite, milieu , gauche. Comme une validation technique par téléphone sera faite nous ajusterons les cotes si nécessaire . Vous recevrez ensuite des doubles coulisses de BSO la ou il doit en avoir.

Comme tout BSO à descente gravitaire, il va bouger. Si vous êtes exposé, il est préférable de mettre un capteur de vent qui fonctionne par radio avec un moteur somfy.
