Aluminum pergola or wooden pergola ? ▼
The wooden pergola has the charm of a natural, welcoming and warmer material, which fits easily into an exterior. We often find climbing plants on these wooden pergolas.
The types of wood used (pine, oak, cedar, etc.) have different resistance to climatic hazards. Oak will be much too expensive, pine too soft.
The Douglas is very good value for money. This is what we chose for our test blade kit, we created a Douglas structure planed at the sawmill, to which we applied a natural color stain.
The main disadvantage of wood is its regular maintenance, unlike aluminum, which will not move or discolor if you take quality products tested and approved by Lacentrale-eco
