Is the RG radio motor centralizable?
Yes, and that's the whole point of it. It works with the radio protocol and the powerline protocol (PLC). Therefore, it can be adapted to any centralized installations, whether they are radio or wired.
The centralization can be managed with one of the following Bubendorff radio remote controls:
- Additional transmitter to control 1 group of up to 20 shutters
- 5-channel remote control to control up to 5 groups of up to 20 shutters
- 4-channel remote controls with timer to control and program up to 4 groups of shutters
How to fit the 1.2 or 2.0 adapter to a Bubendorff R or RG motor?
The R, RG or R X3D motors are the latest generation of motors manufactured by Bubendorff. These new Bubendorff motors require adapters to be fitted in place of the old motors that are no longer manufactured today.
How can I know which motor pulling force to choose?
R motors are nowadays available in 10 Nm, 25 Nm and 33 Nm pulling force. If it says 6 or 10 Nm on your motor, you can be sure that the 10Nm motor will be suitable. If it says 20 or 25 Nm you can go for the 25Nm motor and if it says 30 or 33 Nm then go for the 33 Nm.
It is not recommended to take a higher pulling force than the one that is in place. In fact, as the motor stops by stressing the top and bottom struts, you risk breaking the shutter attachments (called automatic locks) on their axle, or even damaging the shutter slats.
If, however, you wish to increase the pulling force of the motor, you should add a pair of automatic locks to your order.
If you have any doubts about the motor pulling force in place, please do not hesitate to send us a request with the SN number of the shutter either through the chat (bottom right) or via our form.
How to replace the RG radio motor?
All disassembly and assembly steps are given in the instructions downloadable in the "Attachments" tab.
What are the warranty conditions for Bubendorff roller shutter motors?
The warranty is valid for 5 years from the date of invoice of the motor. If your motor requires a warranty claim you can contact our services, the motor must then be returned with its transmitter. You must first make sure that the motor has not been pierced or has not suffered an electrical surge. Indeed, in the last 2 cases mentioned, it is not a motor defect, and the manufacturer will not apply the warranty.
This motor seems longer than the one I currently have, is it compatible?
No worries, this model of motor is indeed compatible with your shutter, you will just have to drill the metal axle further to rivet it. But be careful not to drill the motor because in this case the warranty would be inapplicable.
Is the motor sold with its remote control, will my old control still work?
All Bubendorff radio motors are sold with a transmitter pre-paired with the motor at the factory, your old transmitter will not be able to control this new motor in any way, and if you need an additional control you will need to add to your orderan additional removable transmitter.
Is there a special commissioning setting on this model?
No, powering up and setting the shutter to the upper and lower strut will allow it to initialize itself, if you do not want the shutter to stop on the upper stop automatically, it will then be possible to set it (only the upper stop is configurable).
The steps for adjusting the top strut are available in the manual, which can be downloaded from the "Attachments" tab.
