Description

Product references: 221147 (right motor 221021 + 2.0 adapter 270769) - for ID1 range

Further information :

  • BUBENDORFF radio motor with group control type RG
  • Torque: 10 Nm
  • Automatic limit switches
  • Comes with 2.0 adapter
  • Delivered with its wall-mounted radio transmitter (223026). Note: the RG radio engine works exclusively with an ID radio transmitter labeled with the same S/N number.
  • Compatible with additional transmitter (226001), ID2 clock (229026), 5-channel transmitter (229017) and universal interface (229018).

Note: this motor can replace CI and CG motors equipped with a 2.0 connection from Bubendorff.

What is the difference between the RG - 10 Nm motor + 2.0 adapter and the CI 10 Nm radio motor?

The CI 10 Nm radio motor is an old generation motor, it has changed very little since it was put into circulation in 1998 and its main advantage is its price. It remains compatible with carrier current centralization which was the protocol chosen by Bubendorff before the radio protocol centralization.

If you are interested in centralization and want to go with a motor reference with more recent technology then the choice of the RG radio motor is more judicious.

This engine has several advantages:

  • It is compatible with additional Bubendorff transmitters (second transmitter, 5-channel remote control, clock).
  • It runs slower (12 revolutions per minute compared to 16) and will be quieter.
  • It is compatible with both old motors (powerline protocol) as well as R radio motors (radio protocol), so it is the ideal solution for renewing your motor fleet.

Can the RG radio engine be centralized?

Yes, and that’s the whole point. It is compatible with all protocols used by Bubendorff for its radio engines. Its compatibility with wired or radio motor centralization is therefore total. This solution adapts to all ranges of Bubendorff shutters as needed with the right adapter.

Centralization can be managed with one of the following Bubendorff radio remote controls:

I have a recessed centralization button, will it be compatible?

Yes because this button made it possible to centralize the shutters via the electrical circuit (principle of carrier current), and this motor is compatible with this protocol.

I previously had a 3-wire wired motor with a wall-mounted inverter, will the inverter be compatible?

No, the motor will not be able to respond to the wall inverter; it will be necessary to use the radio transmitter sold and paired at the factory with it. You can take the square box with gray or white central button and install it in place of your old inverter.

How to mount the 1.2 or 2.0 adapter on an R or RG Bubendorff engine?

The R, RG or R X3D engines are the latest generations of engines manufactured by Bubendorff. These new Bubendorff motors require the installation of adapters to be fitted in place of the old motors which are no longer manufactured today. You will find in the photo montage below how you will have to mount your 2.0 or 1.2 adapter on your Bubendorff R, RG or R X3D engine.

Example of assembly with the RG motor and the 2.0 adapter:

How can you be sure of the engine torque to choose?

R motors are now available in 10 Nm, 25 Nm and 33 Nm torque. If it says 6 or 10 Nm on your motor, you can be sure that the 10Nm motor will be suitable. If it is written 20 or 25 Nm, you can take the 25Nm motor and if it is written 30 or 33 Nm then go for the 33 Nm.

It is not advisable to take a higher torque than what is in place. Indeed, since the motor is stopped by force at the upper and lower stops, you risk breaking the apron fasteners (called automatic locks) of the shutter on their axis, or even damaging the apron slats.
If, however, you wish to increase the torque of your engine, consider adding one or two pairs of automatic locks to your order.

If you have any doubts about the engine torque in place, do not hesitate to send us a request with the SN number of the shutter either via chat (bottom right) or via our form.

How to replace the RG radio motor?

All the disassembly and assembly steps are given in the downloadable instructions in the “Attached files” tab.

What are the conditions of application of the guarantee on Bubendorff roller shutter motors?

The warranty is valid for 5 years from the date of invoice for the engine. If your engine requires a warranty claim, you can contact our services, the engine must then be returned with its transmitter. You will first need to ensure that the motor has not been punctured or suffered an electrical surge. Indeed, in the last 2 cases cited, it is not a motor fault and the manufacturer will not apply the warranty.

This motor seems longer than the one I currently have, is it compatible?

Don't worry, this motor model is compatible with your shutter, you will just have to drill the metal axis further to rivet it, be careful not to drill the motor, the warranty would be inapplicable.

Is the motor sold with its remote control, will my old control still work?

All Bubendorff radio motors are sold with a transmitter previously paired at the factory with the motor, your old transmitter will not be able to control this new motor under any circumstances, and if an additional command is needed you will need to add a transmitter to your order additional removable.

Is there a special activation setting on this model?

No, turning on the power and setting the shutter at the top and bottom stop will allow it to initialize on its own. If you do not want the shutter to stop at the top stop automatically, it will then be possible to configure it (only the upper stop can be configured).
The steps for adjusting the upper stop are available in the downloadable instructions in the “Attached files” tab.
