Bubendorff part number: 221149 (left motor 221029 + adapter 2.0 270769) / 221147 (right motor 221021 + adapter 2.0 270769) - for ID1 range
100% Genuine Bubendorff Spare Part
- BUBENDORFF radio-controlled motor, RG type
- Torque: 10 Nm
- Automatic limit switches
- Comes with a 2.0 adapter
- Supplied with its wall-mounted radio transmitter (223026). Note: the RG radio motor works exclusively with an ID radio transmitter labeled with the same S/N number.
- Compatible with the additional transmitter (226001), the ID2 clock (229026), the 5-channel transmitter (229017) and the universal interface (229018)
Note: this motor can replace the CI and CG motors equipped with a 2.0 connection from Bubendorff.
What is the difference between the RG - 10 Nm motor + 2.0 adapter and the CI 10 Nm radio motor?
The CI 10 Nm radio motor is an older generation motor; it has seen very little development since its introduction in 1998, and its main advantage is its price. It remains compatible with powerline communication central locking, which was the protocol chosen by Bubendorff before the introduction of radio protocol central locking.
If centralization interests you and you want to go with a motor reference with more recent technology then the choice of the RG radio motor is more sensible.
This engine has several advantages:
- It is compatible with additional Bubendorff transmitters (second transmitter, 5-channel remote control, clock).
- It rotates slower (12 revolutions per minute versus 16) and will be quieter.
- It is compatible with both older motors (power line communication protocol) and R radio motors (radio protocol), making it the ideal solution for upgrading your motor fleet.
Is the RG radio engine centralizable?
Yes, and that's precisely its advantage. It's compatible with all the protocols used by Bubendorff for its radio motors. Therefore, it's fully compatible with wired or wireless motor control systems. This solution adapts to all Bubendorff shutter ranges, depending on your needs, with the appropriate adapter.
Central control can be managed with one of the following Bubendorff radio remote controls:
- I access the additional transmitter to control 1 group of up to 20 shutters
- I have access to the 5-channel remote control to operate up to 5 groups of up to 20 shutters.
- I have access to the 4-channel remote control with clock to operate and program up to 4 groups of shutters.
I have a recessed central locking button; will it be compatible?
Yes, because this button allowed the shutters to be centralized via the electrical circuit (power line carrier principle), and this motor is compatible with this protocol.
I previously had a 3-wired motor with a wall switch; will the switch be compatible?
No, the motor will not respond to the wall switch; you must use the radio transmitter, which is sold and factory-paired with it. You have the option of purchasing the square box with a central gray or white button and installing it in place of your old switch.
How to mount the 1.2 or 2.0 adapter on a Bubendorff R or RG motor?
The R, RG, or R X3D motors are the latest generation of motors manufactured by Bubendorff. These new Bubendorff motors require adapters to replace older motors, which are no longer manufactured. The photo diagram below shows how to install your 2.0 or 1.2 adapter on your Bubendorff R, RG, or R X3D motor.
Example of assembly with the RG motor and the 2.0 adapter:
How can I be sure I'm choosing the right engine torque?
The R motors are now available with torques of 10 Nm, 25 Nm and 33 Nm.
- If your engine is marked 6 or 10 Nm, you can be sure that the engine 10 Nm will be suitable.
- If it says 20 or 25 Nm, you can take the 25Nm motor.
- If it says 30 or 33 Nm, then go for the 33 Nm.
It is not advisable to use a higher torque than the one currently installed. Because the motor stops due to the force exerted by the upper and lower stops, you risk breaking the shutter curtain's attachments (called automatic locks) on their axle, or even damaging the curtain slats.
However, if you wish to increase the torque of your engine, remember to add one or two pairs of automatic locks to your order.
If you have any doubt about the motor pair in place, do not hesitate to make a request to us with the SN number of the shutter either by chat (bottom right) or via our form.
How do I replace the RG radio motor?
All disassembly and assembly steps are given in the instructions downloadable from the "Attachments" tab.
What are the conditions for applying the warranty on Bubendorff roller shutter motors?
The warranty is valid for 5 years from the motor's invoice date. If your motor requires a warranty claim, please contact our customer service department. The motor must be returned with its transmitter. Beforehand, you must ensure that the motor has not been punctured or subjected to an electrical surge. In these two cases, the damage is not considered a motor defect, and the manufacturer will not honor the warranty.
This motor seems longer than the one I currently have, is it compatible?
No worries, this motor model is compatible with your shutter, you will just need to drill the metal shaft further to rivet it, be careful not to drill the motor, the warranty would be void.
Is the motor sold with its remote control? Will my old remote still work?
All Bubendorff radio motors are sold with a transmitter that is pre-paired at the factory with the motor.
Your old transmitter will not be able to control this new motor under any circumstances, and if you need additional control, you will need to add a separate removable transmitter to your order.
Is there a specific commissioning setting for this model?
No, switching on the power and setting the shutter to its upper and lower limits will allow it to initialize automatically. If you do not want the shutter to stop automatically at the upper limit, it will then be possible to configure it (only the upper limit is configurable).
The steps for adjusting the upper stop are available in the instructions downloadable from the "Attachments" tab.
