The connection of the outputs of the copper solar collectors cannot be done by welding or brazing, otherwise the collector will be damaged.
The assembly is carried out cold either by brass fittings with olives or by the specially designed synthetic Solar-connect connections patented by Heliofrance.
The specific “HF-SolarConnect” fittings consist of preformed silicone-based tubes, reinforced with aramid fibres.
They are 5mm thick. They are suitable only for self-draining installations, the primary circuit of which has an air vent at atmospheric pressure.
Heliofrance synthetic T-shaped or L-shaped connections are semi-rigid and longer than olive connections and are therefore easier to put in place.
Setting up Heliofrance solar-connect connections
The fittings are to be mounted on the sensor connections previously degreased and the brass inserts must be removed.
The pressure holding collars must be crimped using the appropriate pliers (supplied on request).
