I was amazed at the size and beauty of the flame generated by the pellets as well as the low noise emitted by the device. Concretely, when I bought it, I thought I would use more logs than pellets. Can we be autonomous with this product?
This product requires electricity to operate because it is a hydraulic pellet stove with these elements:
- A touch console to turn it on and adjust the various parameters
- A circulator to circulate the water in the device and send it to a buffer tank
- Probes and valves to optimize combustion by regulating the air inlets and the smoke outlet.
So this product is not autonomous because it requires electricity to operate and of course pellets or logs. But if necessary it will be possible to connect it to a battery powered by one or more photovoltaic sensors. This way, in the event of a prolonged power outage, you can still heat your home with logs or pellets if you have any in stock.
It is strongly advised not to use this fireplace without electricity, otherwise the circulator will not be able to evacuate the hot water produced, and no electronic regulation will work. And if you have a power cut during operation with logs for example, the water will continue to rise in temperature until the logs finish consuming. And if it exceeds 90°c, a mechanical thermal valve will open to let in cold water and thus ensure the cooling of the system. The boiling water will be evacuated in the sewer via the evacuation which you will have to envisage. Is this fireplace easy to install?
