This treatment device provided by the bactericide UVc has the principle of generating ultraviolet rays within a treatment chamber. These rays irradiate the living cells contained in the liquid passing through the device, without modifying the physico-chemical criteria and without generating residual solutions.

UV alone for a curative effect
As the water passes through the SUNEO system, the UV lamps generate UV rays which destroy all living cells (bacteria, viruses, algae).
This does not modify the physico-chemical criteria and without generating harmful by-products. Your swimming pool water therefore remains healthier , naturally and more ecologically .
This can especially be felt in your skin. Indeed, thanks to this system, you bathe in water with fewer chemicals.
Note that the size of the tank and the power of the lamps are essential for successful treatment. So remember to choose the device of sufficient size.
UV + active oxygen for a continuous effect
The automatic and daily injection of active oxygen, via the dosing pump, is done according to the temperature of the water and the volume of the pool.
This ensures continuous disinfection when the pump is not running (between filter cycles). Active oxygen, also called hydrogen peroxide, is readily available.
Its effectiveness and non-toxicity are recognized by all professionals in the sector. You will understand that it is therefore strongly recommended, to ensure continuous disinfection, to install a dosing pump on your installation (description available below in the product sheet).
The proposed model makes it possible to precisely regulate the dosage.

To make sure you finally have the crystalline pool you dreamed of, this regulation box will automatically handle pH management as well as the injection of active oxygen for pools up to 200 m3.
For your pool water, the recommended pH is between 7 and 7.4.

How to maintain your SUNEO UV installation?
Wintering:
When the season for using the swimming pool is over, the swimming pool water treatment installation and more particularly the UV station should be placed in winter storage .
To do this, you must drain the UV bactericide, dismantle the UV lamps and the quartz sheath and store everything in suitable packaging, in a dry place and at room temperature.
Please note that the lamps and the quartz sheath are fragile, you must handle them with care.
Replacement of UV lamps and other consumables:
UV lamps have an optimum operating time of 9000h (about 1 year). For the lucky ones whose pool season lasts 6 months, a UV bulb can be used for 2 consecutive seasons before being replaced.
It is recommended to change the seals at the same time as the UV lamp .
The quartz sheath is a glass sheath which seals between the stainless steel body in which the water to be treated circulates and the UV bulb which must remain dry.
The replacement of the quartz sheath is recommended every 5 years. However, if the sheath stays clean from season to season to allow UV to pass through it and there is no lime build-up, you can keep it longer.
A quartz sheath for a SUNEO costs around €150 including tax.

Dosage of active oxygen:
Active Oxygen is a hydrogen peroxide with which is associated an anti-limestone and an anti-algae.
Active Oxygen is a light residual which allows the water to remain clean for a certain time after passing through the UV station while maintaining exceptional bathing comfort (no odor, no eye or skin irritation ).
It is injected in liquid form in daily micro-dosage by metering pump.
The daily injection is adjusted according to the volume of the pool and the water temperature:
These dosages are announced for a water temperature of 25°.
For any higher degree, 10% of the initial dose should be added.
We can provide you with active oxygen or anti-algae on request.
We recommend Bayrol or CTX brand products which are more effective and more stable over time.
These products are available in supermarkets without the substantial shipping costs for these specific products.
Tips for using active oxygen:
- Active oxygen is volatile at high temperature and is not recommended for water temperatures exceeding 28°, and more particularly for covered pools.
- It is not recommended for cartridge and diatomaceous earth filtration, as the presence of anti-algae can quickly clog these filters.
- Prefer the PH of the water to 7.0 or even 7.2 maximum, otherwise provide a DUO dosing pump with integrated PH dosing pump.
- During start-up at the start of the season or during the season, in the event of storms or a large number of swimmers, shock treatments should be carried out. This involves pouring a certain quantity of liquid oxidant (Ovychoc for example: 1L / 10m3) directly into the pool, preferably in the evening (follow the instructions given in the instructions for the selected product).
- For any pool equipped with a shelter, a shutter, a solar cover, it is necessary to uncover its pool during the day so that the water is oxygenated and to avoid the temperature of the water increases above 28°C.
