LEWT-E HELIOS underground sleeve for Canadian well
This geothermal collector, used for Canadian or Provençal wells, is made of food-grade polyethylene. It does not release any solvents or other volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Reference 93936 = 25 meters
Reference 83632 = 50 meters
- Maximum airflow : 300 m³/h
- Structure : corrugated on the outside and smooth on the inside, facilitating installation and cleaning, and optimizing airflow.
- Design : specifically designed to be buried, conforming to the SN 6 standard according to EN ISO 9969, guaranteeing high pressure resistance and exceptional durability.
- Compliance : Meets DIN-EN 50086-2-4 and DIN EN 1610: 1997 standards, ensuring a safe and durable installation.
Installation of the geothermal collector (duct)
- Sand bed : the collector must be installed on a compacted sand bed with a minimum thickness of 10 cm, with a normal Proctor density of 95%.
- Covering : cover the collector with 0-4 mm compacted sand to a thickness of 20 to 30 cm, ensuring good stability and preventing subsidence.
- Depth : Ideally, install at a depth greater than 1.20 m for increased efficiency. The greater the depth, the better the thermal efficiency.
- Length for a detached house : allow a total collector length of at least 40 m. The collector can be installed in a single length or in two parallel lengths connected by tees at each end, respecting a minimum distance of 1 m between the collectors and the masonry elements.
- Backfilling conditions : the backfilling material must conform to specifications B1 or B4 as well as A1 and A4 according to ATV A 127, paragraphs 6.2 and 5.2.
For a detached house, allow a total collector length of at least 40m. The collector can be installed in a single length or in 2 parallel lengths connected by tees at each end.
Helios recommendations for this well duct
- Site preparation : Before installation, check for any damage to the pipes. Take measures to prevent stagnant water on the work site.
- Installation conditions : to avoid damage, install the collector during frost-free periods and unroll the tube 24 hours before installation.
- Watertightness : Ensure the watertightness of the connections by using the supplied sealing gaskets, with IP 67 protection. Note that the wall penetration is not watertight against rising groundwater.
- Cleaning and maintenance : Clean the geothermal collector regularly for hygienic reasons.
