This single-flow ventilation system was developed to provide an optimum balance between the disadvantages of a self-regulating CMV (energy loss due to significant ventilation of the home) and a hygro-regulating CMV (ventilation too weak in the absence of humidity to evacuate other pollutants).
We invite you to ask your thermal design office if you would like to prioritize this solution in your new RT2012 home. Indeed, the Pure AIR system involves a greater overall air renewal of the home without energy recovery (single-flow CMV), which is difficult to quantify.
How does Aldes EasyHOME PureAIR single-flow ventilation work?
The PureAIR system improves the indoor air quality of your home by acting in two ways:
Filtration of incoming air by installing AirFILTER filter grids which retain 99% of pollens larger than 10 microns
- Modulation of the ventilation flow rate according to the level of pollutants detected at the ventilation group level (VOC, CO2 and Humidity).
The rotation speed of the fan of this single flow VMC is thus controlled by 1 central electronic VOC/CO2 sensor and 3 humidity sensors located at the unit's tappings dedicated to the kitchen and bathrooms. These 3 separate sensors improve air renewal either when you take a shower or when you cook to properly detect an increase in specific humidity in one of these rooms and quickly evacuate it. This is not the case and it is not necessary to have several sensors for CO2 or VOCs because these pollutants are mainly troublesome in living rooms and the dilution has already been done when the air in the living rooms has been swept and then diluted to the piextraction areas such as toilets, kitchens or bathrooms. The objective is therefore rather to guarantee a minimum overall level of VOCs and CO2.
The PureAIR Compact PREMIUM MW (Micro-Watt) solution provides the following functions:
- Daily Mode which adapts the ventilation speed according to the quantity of pollutant detected,
- Bath/Kitchen Boost Mode which automatically activates high speed when one of the 3 probes measures an increase in humidity.
The PureAIR Compact PREMIUM Connect ventilation system is equipped, in addition to the 2 automatic Daily and Boost Bath/Kitchen modes, with the following 2 manual modes controlled via a smartphone application:
- Holiday mode for which air renewal will be minimal,
- Guest Mode allows you to activate the maximum ventilation speed when there are a large number of you. This mode compensates for the disadvantage of dilution by evacuating the CO2 peak much more quickly than if the system managed it independently.
The Aldes Connect Box modem that equips the PureAIR Compact PREMIUM Connect solution also allows you to monitor the pollutant concentration detected by the probes in real time on your smartphone application. This modem can be purchased later to transform your EasyHOME PureAIR MW installation into EasyHOME PureAIR Connect.
This extra-flat ventilation model (less than 19 cm thick) can be installed in a technical room or closet or in a false ceiling. The box is equipped with anti-vibration pads and is simply installed using 2 fixing screws. Another advantage of this ventilation system is the possibility of choosing much more attractive extraction vents or grilles.
Please note that for networks installed in false ceilings or linings, we recommend installing a semi-rigid HDPE network or a rigid flat PVC network. It is mandatory to insulate the network in unheated spaces to prevent condensation.
For a F4 type accommodation equipped with a bathroom and a toilet, the PureAir box in Daily mode will consume around 7 Wh of electricity.
