Infrared heater

27 reviews

The cold is coming.. the bills are getting heavier.. Many of you have asked us for advice on heating rooms with very high ceilings, or professional premises with high traffic.

To help you, discover our dossier on infrared technology which:

  • Brings gentle warmth,
  • Reduces your electricity consumption
  • Beautifies your home thanks to its ultra-flat design

How does infrared radiation work?

Infrared heating is based on the principle of solar radiation.

Heat radiation does not heat the air but rather the ceiling , walls , objects and people that absorb the radiant heat.

The environment stores heat and releases it into the room.

The temperature of the surfaces is homogeneous. Your body feels good!

What are the differences with a convection heater?

The properly sized electric infrared heater surpasses most other heating systems in terms of comfort and convenience.

It does not dry the air, does not burn dust, and avoids the accumulation of hot air on the ceiling.

It can be installed on the ceiling to free up space on the walls.

It can be regulated with any thermostat or home automation on the market. You put the system you want.

Living rooms can be evenly heated by long infrared heat radiation.

What is infrared radiation?

We encounter it daily in the form of solar radiation.

As in winter, on a sunny café terrace, your body is warm because it captures the radiation despite the low air temperature.

Depending on the wavelength, a distinction is made:

  • IR A : short wave emitters also called infrared emitters have a surface temperature of less than 900°.
They glow red and heat up almost instantly.
They are used for outdoor terraces for example.
  • IR B : medium wave infrared emitters emit infrared radiation between 1400 Newtons and 3000 Newtons and have a surface temperature of 300 to 900°.
They generate no light and are also called dark radiators.
    They are used very little.
  • IR C : long wave infrared emitters that operate up to a surface temperature of 200°. On the walls, the surface temperature should not exceed 120°.
But on the ceiling, with a surface temperature of 185°, they generate the maximum radiation which is in the long or far infrared range.
It is these long wave ceiling lights that we recommend .

The term "infrared heating" originated using IR Cs.
