Adjustable sunshade designed to be embedded in a masonry box, a woodwork box, a valance or in external insulation.

This model is supplied without a closing plate.

This is the simplest model in the range, supplied with a bracket for wall mounting or direct installation in the lintel. It offers excellent value for money for an external venetian blind.

Very easy to install and very economical. Adjustable sunshade (BSO) with wired or Somfy RTS radio motorization compatible with home automation systems.

Sunshades integrated into the building's facade

Also called a Venetian blind, the sunshade orients its 90 mm slats to block the sun's rays in summer while maintaining adequate light.

With a built-in external venetian blind, you avoid overheating in the summer while keeping a natural and soft light in your interior.
The adjustable sunshade is the perfect exterior sun protection that combines design and aesthetics.

Save energy by avoiding the need for energy-intensive air conditioning. Your sunshade allows you to control the sun's rays!

The integrated, robust and stylish blind

  • The slats are made of profiled aluminum, 0.42 mm thick and 92.5 mm wide. Unlike blinds with traditionally shaped slats, these blinds can be closed almost completely. The slats are equipped with a sound-absorbing seal to reduce noise when fully closed.
  • Blades covered with a lacquered coating guaranteeing resistance to weathering.
  • The blades are held in place by a double-reinforced polyester fiber tape with aramid (used notably in the manufacture of bulletproof vests) for the textile tapes that support the blades. These materials are highly resistant to stretching and scratches, stabilized by a thermal process, and resistant to UV rays and other atmospheric conditions.
  • Textiles are more durable than cable systems, which corrode over time!

The 90mm blade protects you from the sun and its last weighted blade ensures the overall stability of the structure.

The slats of the external venetian blind can be oriented as you wish, at any height.

The installation of sunshade blinds is a response to the Thermal Regulations 2012 and 2020 and especially to the need for free solar gain in winter while protecting against the vertical rays of the sun in summer.

Sun protection is strongly recommended if you do not have "sun visors" above your windows and doors.

Depending on the orientation of the blades, the sunshade can let through up to 90% of the outside light .

In its closed position, a blind does not provide complete darkness in a room. The proposed external venetian blind cannot be considered a secure closure system for insurance purposes, as the slats can be lifted manually.

This defect is a quality because the operation of the blind remains simple and durable, without risk of jamming.

Here is the height of the package and the closing plate that will be delivered, depending on the total height you have indicated in the "height" field:

The height you specify will be the manufacturing height, therefore the height total of the store.

Choice of motorizations for external venetian blinds

You can choose the GEIGER wired motor (a renowned German brand) which comes with the Somfy Uno Smoove switch. With the wired motor, the limit switches are already set (but can be readjusted).

You can also choose the SOMFY RTS or IO radio motor, which will be supplied with a Telis 1 MODULIS remote control. The central dial on the remote control is very convenient for adjusting the blade angle with your thumb.

We recommend the radio motor for larger sizes so you can connect your external venetian blind (BSO) to a wind sensor and automatically raise the blind when you're away. The product is robust, but for widths of 3 to 4 meters, caution is advised.

The color palette caters to all your desires.

Here is the available color palette, which now includes RAL 9005 (a trendy new black that is increasingly replacing RAL 7016 anthracite gray). For a specific RAL color, please contact us, but the additional cost is significant, so it's best to avoid this option.

Here are the two ways to fix your tracks: directly into the wall or offset with fixing to the window frame

BSO track fixing

Mounting to the window frame using the connecting bracket should be used if you cannot drill into the wall. We are always available if you would like information on installing these Venetian blinds.

Simply secure the pack of blades with the fixing brackets for quick assembly:

Secure the sheet metal to this bracket with rivets before attaching the bracket and the spring support directly to the lintel. Then, attach the rail containing the motor to the spring support.

How to install a sunshade in an exterior thermal insulation system

For this type of installation, you should choose a sunshade without a closing panel , as your external venetian blind (BSO) will normally be hidden within the insulation if it's at least 160 mm thick. Be aware that this will inevitably create a thermal bridge. Alternatively, you can place 20 mm of insulation between the bracket and the wall, and choose a BSO with a closing panel .

For installation on a facade in external thermal insulation, the bracket that holds the pack of blades will be fixed to the facade above your window frame.

  • The total height of your custom-ordered adjustable sunshade will be equal to the height of your finished frame/painting/window opening plus the "Height of the box" (see image above).
    Because the total height of the BSO to be ordered is indeed equal to the visible part + the part hidden in the EWI.
    In this configuration, you will need a minimum insulation thickness of 160 mm. (140 mm angle + at least 20 mm of insulation in front on which you will apply the plaster).

  • With the "Wall Mounting Guide": The width of your adjustable sunshade will be equal to the width of your finished picture less 5 mm.
    The "Wall Mounting Guide" must be used, but be careful to choose the correct wall plug to receive the screw.
    You will need to install your external venetian blind after you have redone your plaster.

How to install a motorized adjustable sunshade for a 6m wide sliding door?

For this type of installation, you must choose the sunshade without a closing sheet , because normally your BSO will be recessed into a box with a square bottom.

Generally, such a sliding door is made of aluminum and consists of 3 or 4 equal panels. The goal is to avoid having a central track. Let's first look at how to arrange external venetian blinds (BSO) on such a sliding door:

  • For a 6m wide sliding door (3 tracks) with 3 panels, you will have 3 openings of 2m each. You can then:

    • in 2 BSO by juxtaposing one of 4 m and one of 2 m
    • in 3 BSO by juxtaposing three BSOs of 2 m

  • For a sliding door (2 rails) 6 m wide with 4 leaves of 1.5 m, you will open it from the middle.
    Therefore, we advise you to install a 1.5m external venetian blind on each side and a large 3m central blind.
    This will provide three sunshades for your sliding door.

With a Somfy radio motor, you'll have one remote control per sunshade. We recommend also getting a 4-channel remote to control three or four blinds simultaneously. The blinds will be joined using a double guide, held on a steel tube or flat bar, fixed to the floor and inside the housing. This tube or flat bar can be supplied by Lacentrale-eco.

Expect to pay around one hundred euros per tube, including paint and treatment. This way, you get a quality installation, just like the ones we provide when we sell our external venetian blinds with installation in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Perfect for offices and meeting rooms, it divides your pack of blades into 1/3 for optimal management of natural light.
The blades are homogenized in the closed position and 1/3 open in the inclined position, letting in a subdued light without dazzling. Complete opening is impossible, preserving partial darkness.

By default, the upper part remains closed (or in an inclined position), but you can choose the lower part on command.

The manufacturing width does not take into account the slides which will be embedded in your coating or insulation.

If you have 1000 between coated (finished picture) then the slides will be in addition to this dimension.

The female angle bracket to be recessed into the wall is 27mm deep, so you should make a groove in the masonry panel, place this angle bracket, then clip the real slide into it.

The coating will stop flush with the first corner.

With this type of slide, the manufacturing height given to the manufacturer will be 22 mm smaller than the height under lintel indicated , because the size of the system must be taken into account in the total manufacturing height.

The Geiger motor is a high-quality wired motor for mechanical limit switches.

It comes with the Smoove Uno WT 5P switch which allows the BSO to be raised and lowered.

By pressing the bottom button, the BSO lowers the closed slats vertically to the bottom. By pressing the top button, the BSO raises the slats horizontally to the top.

By pressing the buttons you can adjust the blades as you wish, to any height you want.

Dans mon cas, il fallait être deux (BSO de 3,7m de long)
Une heure pour le perçage des fixations, une heure pour fixer les montants et le coffre, une heure pour fixer le bloc lamelles/moteur et une heure pour le raccordement électrique.
je recommande le produit et l'accompagnement.
Je repasserai une commande dans le futur.????

Le BSO se pose très facilement grâce aux explications reçues en amont de la commande (heureusement, car la notice n'est pas top).
Avec les coulisses autoportées il suffit de fixer les coulisses au bloc moteur puis de visser les coulisses de chaque côté sous le linteau de la fenêtre.
Utilisé dans le cadre d'une rénovation, je vais en commander trois autres pour les autres fenêtres. La tôle reste très discrète et moderne.
Moteur Somfy IO un peu cher mais qui permet de tout centraliser. Je ne regrette pas.

=> La mienne est évidement plus complexe et les difficultés les principales ne font pas l'objet d'étapes explicatives dans la notice.
- la conception du coffre, plié, en ne permettant pas d'accéder en démontant la face avant, rend l'accrochage du paquet de lames, et le verrouillage des brides extrêmement difficile, exige de mobiliser un échafaudage pour soutenir le paquet de lames: des professionnels expérimentés ont rencontré des difficultés significatives pour comprendre puis finaliser l'installation
- une erreur secondaire à mentionner dans la notice: les taquets bas sont indiqués "taquets hauts", ce qui n'a pas de sens
- deux clamps seulement sont fournis pour guider le câble d'alimentation le long de l'axe: il en faudrait au moins 4

Le résultat est magnifique, mais je ne vois pas comment un particulier sanscompétences particulières et outilage adapté pourrait s'en sortir pour comprendre l'installation et en veni à bout: absolument faire appel à un professionnel expérimenté
