Self-supporting adjustable sunshade for facade installation

With an external venetian blind, you can avoid overheating in the summer while maintaining soft, natural light inside your home. This adjustable sunshade is the perfect exterior sun protection solution, combining design and aesthetics.
The housing is self-supporting on the tracks, which guide the adjustable slats. These are fixed to the wall with spacer brackets.
This self-supporting structure makes installation easy: protect yourself from the heat with simple adjustments around your windows. Furthermore, unlike a roller shutter, the adjustable slats allow you to control the amount of light entering the room.

The blind is fixed directly to the wall
The installation of sunshade blinds is a response to the Thermal Regulation 2012 and especially to the need for free solar gain in winter while protecting oneself from the vertical rays of the sun in summer.
Sun protection is strongly recommended if you do not have "sun visors" above your windows and doors.

The same freestanding sunshade, reassembled in the box.
The spreader brackets are clearly visible in the wall.
Depending on the angle of the slats, the sunshade can allow up to 90% of outside light to pass through. In the closed position, an adjustable sunshade is not a completely blackout system.

The Z90 blade
- The slats are made of profiled aluminum with a thickness of 0.42 mm and a width of 92.5 mm.
It is possible to close the blinds almost completely, unlike blinds with traditionally shaped slats. - The adjustable slats are equipped with a soundproof seal to reduce noise when fully closed.
- The blades are coated with a lacquered finish that guarantees resistance to weathering.
- The blades are held together by double-reinforced polyester fibers with aramid (used in particular in the manufacture of bulletproof vests) used for the textile ribbons that support the blades.
- These materials are highly resistant to stretching and scratching, stabilized by a thermal process and resistant to UV rays and other atmospheric conditions.
Textiles are more durable than cable systems, which corrode over time!
The load bar, which is the last blade, is solid for better static support of the assembly.wheat.
The blade orientation is fixed regardless of the height.
When the blind goes down, the slats go vertical, and when it goes up the slats are horizontal.
Maximum dimension
You can go up to 4500 mm, both for width and length.

The order width must be equal to the width of your opening + 100 mm .
If your opening is 1000 mm wide, we recommend an order width of 1100 mm. This will allow the external venetian blind to extend 50 mm beyond each side of your opening.
The fixing point will be 30 mm from the edge of your opening, so if the plaster is 15 mm thick, you are sure to fix it into the wall.

Here are the guide materials we offer.
We recommend the self-supporting bracket for easier installation , if you wish to attach your box to the facade, and if the width of the BSO < 3 m .
The round guide support allows the box to be moved away from the facade.

The prices shown include all mounting hardware. You will receive a phone call to confirm your order and installation.
The height you specify in the product sheet field corresponds
the total height of the BSO = opening height + cassette height .
For openings below 1760 mm, 240 mm will be added to your opening height.
For an opening between 176Between 0 and 3070, 330 mm will be added to your opening height.
Beyond and up to an aperture of 3610, an additional 390 mm will be added.
Here are the installation photos of your future adjustable sunshade with an extruded aluminum casing for facade mounting.
The photos show the round guide support, but we recommend the freestanding one (free option to select).
The slide assembly shown in the photos is for external mounting, but you also have the option of mounting the slides inside the housing as shown in the first photos of this description. (free option to select).

STEPS FOR ASSEMBLING A SELF-SUPPORTING SUN SHADE
- Turn the aluminum box upside down on the ground and screw the brackets into the small sliding plates at the bottom.
- Remove the side panels and the front panel of the box if the box is more than 240 mm high.
- Unscrew the calipers as far as they will go and spread the jaws apart.
- Drill a hole in the back of the trunk and pass your cable through it if possible.
- Turn the blade assembly over with the motor and slide it into the trunk until the bracket closes onto the motor rail.
- Take a cloth and protect the blades before screwing the bracket into the bottom of the trunk with a large screwdriver.
- Do this for each stirrup
- Replace the front panel and cheek pieces.
- Secure the slide retaining bracket on each side in the trunk
- With the trunk still upside down on the floor, place the slides on each side inside the trunk. (Cut the black seal on the back of the slide along the height of the trunk.)
- Stand your outdoor blind upright and locate the positions of the wall fixing brackets.
- Drill through the wall, attach the brackets to the wall, then to the track. The external venetian blind is now upright and fixed to the wall.
- Finalize the electrical connection
- If you have a Somfy radio motor, perform the complete motor reset procedure (last procedure) to then pair the remote control.

The Eolis WireFree Io anemometer is a sensor that measures wind speed continuously. This data is transmitted to your home automation system, which analyzes it according to the parameters you have configured.
For example, if the wind speed exceeds a certain threshold, the system can be programmed to automatically close your sunshades to preserve them.
Using a home automation center, an anemometer is sufficient for all your BSOs.

The slide is fixed in the box (main photo from the beginning of the description)
The width of the aluminum box will be equal to the control width.
