How to install a motorized adjustable sunshade for a 6 m wide sliding window?

For this type of installation, you must choose the sunshade without closing plate , because normally your BSO will be embedded in a box with a square bottom.

Generally, such a sliding door is made of aluminum and will be made up of 3 or 4 equal leaves.

Why install several medium-sized sunshades rather than just one?

Installing an adjustable sunshade (BSO) in front of a 6 meter bay window can present several challenges. The main problems encountered may be:

How to organize the BSO on such a sliding

For a sliding (3 rails) 6 m wide in 3 leaves, you will have 3 bays of 2 m . You can then do:

• in 2 BSO by juxtaposing one of 4 m and one of 2 m
• in 3 BSO by juxtaposing three BSO of 2 m

For a sliding (2 rails) 6 m wide in 4 leaves of 1.5 m, you will open from the middle.

• We then advise you to put a BSO on each side of 1.5 m and a large central one of 3 m.
  This will make three sunshades for your sliding bay window.

With a SOMFY radio motorization , you will have a remote control via sunshade. Please also take a 4-channel remote control to control three or four blinds simultaneously.

The junction between the BSOs will be made using the double guide, held on a steel tube or a plate, fixed to the ground and in the box.
